The Friends of the Mt. Pleasant Library, Inc. is a nonprofit group that works to support programming, outreach, and experiences at the Mt. Pleasant Public Library Branch in Cabarrus County, NC.

It's the perfect event for pumpkin spice season...you won't want to miss New York Times bestselling author Kristy Woodson Harvey's Falling for Peachtree Bluff book launch! Your ticket includes an author talk, hardcover copy of Falling for Peachtree Bluff, refreshments, and meet and greet, all held at The Coach House in Mt. Pleasant, NC.
This event is a fundraiser for the 2027 Mt. Pleasant Literary Festival (coming March 18-20, 2027) and a portion of the ticket price goes directly to supporting our mission to keep the #mplitfest free and open to all.
This event is hosted by the Friends of the Mt. Pleasant Library. Local bookseller Editions Bookstore will have additional titles available for purchase and signing at the event.
Book Club with Meagan Church!
The Friends of the Mt. Pleasant Library invite you to join us at the Mt. Pleasant Library for a special book club discussion featuring New York Times Bestselling author, Meagan Church!
We’ll discuss her latest novel, The Mad Wife, and Meagan will speak about the story, her writing process, and the inspiration behind the book. Come ready to share your thoughts, ask questions, and enjoy a conversation with Meagan!
Light refreshments will be served, and local indie bookseller Editions Bookstore will have all of Meagan’s books available for purchase. Meet Meagan in person and have your book(s) signed!

From Jeffrey Blount to Kristy Woodson Harvey, the Friends of the Mt. Pleasant Library have brought enriching experiences to our community. Last fall, we partnered with Editions Bookstore to welcome USA Today Bestselling Author Hank Phillippi Ryan to Mt. Pleasant on book tour for All This Could Be Yours!
Friends Events
Our all-volunteer play brings our community together every February, and we host a used book sale every year. Look for us in parades and at local festivals!
