Join us on Tuesday, June 24th at 11:30am to hear author Dawn Tripp discuss her latest novel, Jackie. Local bookseller Editions Bookstore will be on hand with books available for purchase. This event is free and no registration is required. You won’t want to miss this wonderful opportunity!
Event will be at 11:30am on 6/24 at the Mt. Pleasant Library at 1111 N. Washington St., Mt. Pleasant, NC 28124 in the Library Meeting Room.
Used Book Sale
The Friends of the Mt. Pleasant Library host an annual used book sale each year, giving patrons a chance to recycle old books and find something new!

Drop off your used books at the Mt. Pleasant Library (please donate books in good condition. No textbooks or magazines, please).

Annual Play
Each spring, the Friends of the Mt. Pleasant Library present an annual play, bringing together a big hearted crew of local talent and “celebrities” to entertain the community for a good cause. It is a can’t miss event, with a delicious dessert buffet and impressive raffle. All money raised helps support our beloved MP Library! “Frankenstein Slept Here”
On Saturday, February 22, 2025, our stellar, all volunteer cast shone in the Mt. Pleasant Friends of the Library Annual Play! Set in a castle run by Baroness Frankenstein and full of strange residents, “Frankenstein Slept Here” was a monstrous hit.

The Friends of the Mt. Pleasant Library have welcomed John Hart, Jeffrey Blount, Jennifer Pharr Davis, and Kristy Woodson Harvey, just to name a few. We focus on bringing unique opportunities to meet and greet with talented authors and hear their stories.
