Annual Play
Each spring, the Friends of the Mt. Pleasant Library present an annual play, bringing together a big hearted crew of local talent and “celebrities” to entertain the community for a good cause. It is a can’t miss event, with a delicious dessert buffet and impressive raffle. All money raised helps support our beloved MP Library! Author Visits
The Friends of the Mt. Pleasant Library have welcomed John Hart, Jeffrey Blount, Jennifer Pharr Davis, and Kristy Woodson Harvey, just to name a few. We focus on bringing unique opportunities to meet and greet with talented authors and hear their stories.
Mt. Pleasant Literary Festival
Each year in March, the Friends of the Mt. Pleasant Library welcome everyone to a 3 day celebration of books, authors, and the literary arts. We’ve hosted S.A. Cosby, Craig Johnson, Kate Quinn, Mary Alice Monroe, Meagan Church, Meagan Shepherd, Beth Revis, Valerie Bauerlein, Hope Larson, and Eric Litwin, just to name a few. Even better, this bookish event is presented FREE and open to all.
